Pair of Candlesticks, In bronze and marble, Paris 1783

A pair of bronze putti with exotic features hold finely chiseled and gilded cornucopias that act as candle holders; they are placed on an ancient gray marble plinth which in turn rests on a white marble capital, connected by a gilt bronze frame; fake curtains are applied on the plinths. The two figures, standing with one leg slightly raised, rest their feet on a grassy cushion in gilded bronze, decorated with leaves; one of them bears the date 1783.
