Historical-stylistic analysis:

The hairstyle and the dress, a simple knotted veil, of the statue, recall the Roman-style depictions that from the end of the eighteenth century. they were all the rage until almost the middle of the 19th century.

The influence of Canova’s models can be found not only in the old-fashioned depiction, but also in the light and at the same time severe expression of the face. The execution of the object is also of excellent quality, which from the mastery of the use of drills and chisels obtains virtuosity not only in the eyes and in the flowers, but also in the plasticity of the support of the garments.
