Canopy bed. Italy, early 19th century

Canopy bed in wrought iron with footboard and headboard in shaped wood to be covered with upholstery. The wrought iron uprights like the feet have turned bronze inserts. The celino has a frame structure to be covered. The non-coeval, albeit pertinent, upholstery that covers the bed is in blue silk damask with yellow and gold inserts to form decorative lilies.
