Our Story

FineArt by Di Mano in Mano was born from the experience and passion of Di Mano in Mano, a cooperative that has been dedicated to the recovery, enhancement, and sale of antiques, modern collectibles, and second-hand items since 1999.

A story rooted in the desire to give new life to objects and greater value to people, with an ethical and sustainable approach. Over time, the expertise gained in selecting and preserving fine furniture, artworks, and valuable objects led to the creation of FineArt—a division specializing in high-end antiques and the most sought-after works of art.

The Origins: Di Mano in Mano and the Vision of a New Business Model

Di Mano in Mano was founded to support the communities of Villapizzone and Castellazzo, in the province of Milan—two shared living experiences within the Mondo di Comunità e Famiglia Association. From the very beginning, the cooperative has combined the appreciation of objects with a strong social commitment, providing job opportunities and training for people in vulnerable situations.

Since its inception, the cooperative has grown while staying true to its core values: sustainability, environmental respect, and community care. Its business model has evolved into a benchmark in the industry, with two physical locations in Milan and Cambiago, along with a well-established online presence.

Today, Di Mano in Mano has around 100 employees and over 70 members, carrying forward a business that combines commerce, culture, and social commitment. Its work has reached an increasingly broad audience, making unique and rare pieces accessible both through its physical stores and its e-commerce platform.

The Evolution of FineArt: Selection, Value, and Exclusivity

From Di Mano in Mano’s extensive experience in the antiques sector, FineArt was born—a division dedicated to fine furniture and prestigious objects, with the goal of offering a carefully curated selection of pieces of historical and artistic value.

FineArt is more than just a marketplace; it serves as a reference point for collectors, enthusiasts, and industry professionals. Every piece is meticulously selected, studied, and enhanced while preserving its authenticity and history.

Over time, FineArt has expanded its presence by participating in industry events and fairs, collaborating with experts, and offering an increasingly exclusive selection. Our collection includes:

  • Artworks by Italian and European artists
  • Period and designer furniture
  • High-value historical collectibles
  • Sculptures, paintings, and decorative pieces that embody the charm of the past

Each item is accompanied by thorough research and documentation, ensuring transparency and authenticity for our clients.
