‘Delfi’ table by Carlo Scarpa and Marcel Breuer for Simon

Description:

‘Delfi’ model marble table, produced by Simon since 1969.
The Delfi table is the result of Carlo Scarpa’s reworking of a conceived table
in the 1930s by Marcel Breuer. Specifically, the Venetian designer intervened on the central slots of the large legs of the rationalist table pushed by Dino Gavina, who – having ascertained Scarpa’s great interest in the table – presented him with the possibility of making some changes.

Furthermore, it is interesting to note how this table is emblematic of a new type of production with a courtly setting and made with classic materials that began in the 70s, alongside more informal furnishings in plastic material.

Dimensions: height 74cm, width 220cm, depth 90cm
